Investing in cannabis stocks?

However when I checked my brokerage account today, the cash I'd transferred was still sitting there. I tried to buy again and got a message that the stock wasn't available to trade. What am I doing wrong? I"m new to OTC equities and I thought I'd figured it out by requesting a limit order.
