Why no cryptos on existing chat platforms.

Forgive what may be a rookie question. I know that FB was trying to launch its own cryptocurrency. Why hasn't anyone added a wallet function using established cryptos into FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber or any other chat platform? Alternatively, couldn't Coinbase or another wallet app try to establish themselves as a chat app? I pay for things daily using WeChat without ever touching cash and I love it. I know it is not a cryptocurrency, but it is completely digital. I feel like something like that could really catch-on everywhere bringing cryptos to more people.

Kind Regards R
