(Because of the scary news stories about COVID impacting market psychology.)</p> <p>The big Wall Street Banks, Large Individual Investors, and Hedge Funds know that statistically certain types of news stories are more likely to move the Stock Market as a whole and individual stocks up and down. They use a variety of mathematical models based on events to predict how news stories will impact stock movements in the short run. In some cases, they have the ability to buy or sell stocks the second the news is released or have access to the information well before the public.
