Is Bitcoin always going to be the top dog?

80% of the people I talk to believe bitcoin will always be the amazon of cryptocurrency, which I find hard to believe. Bitcoin uses proof of work, which is not environmentally friendly and slow. So when altcoins like Eth and Cardano exist, which solves all the transactional and environmental problems of bitcoin, it's hard for me to find a good reason to believe that bitcoin is the amazon of Crypto. Bitcoin "can" implement proof of stake, but coordinating the technical efforts involved to do so would be a monumental task. There is no CEO, lead development team, or true means of coordinating long-term action, which is why many believe bitcoin will never implement proof of stake. When there already exists multiple solutions to problems bitcoin introduced, Why Bitcoin? If you believe bitcoin is the amazon of Crypto, please explain why. Is it simply because they were the first ones in the market?

submitted by /u/Ifrad
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
