How does a decentralized API platform differ from decentralized oracles?
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>One thing I’ve noticed lately is an increase in decentralized API platforms. These platforms say that they allow developers to access data from multiple blockchains - but how does that differ from something like Chainlink or Band Protocol? </p> <p>AFAIK, it serves the same function as a blockchain oracle. I’m not an expert on this by any means (I’m currently learning some blockchain dev stuff now and stumbled upon <a href="https://cryptopumpnews.com/trading/6-million-in-series-a-funding-round-pushes-bware-labs-total-funding-to-7-million/">this</a> decentralized APIs) but I can’t see a difference. Purely by the fact that they seem to be a newer development, methinks that they are the new tech in town and worth looking into. </p> <p>Are they like oracles 2.0 or something? Are there any downsides?</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Actual-Marionberry57"> /u/Actual-Marionberry57 </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/t0xwhy/how_does_a_decentralized_api_platform_differ_from/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/t0xwhy/how_does_a_decentralized_api_platform_differ_from/">[comments]</a></span>Kind Regards R
