Honest question: Do people REALLY enjoy playing "games" like Decentraland?

Hi all, throughout my entire life I have played videogames intensively. From mobile, to console, to pc. I love games and the emotions they can make players feel.

Now I am into crypto/finance as I really got passionate about these topics. What I still don't get however, is if people who speak non stop about NFT games are really enjoying those games.

I have played Decentraland which is arguably the most famous one, and it's so bad that calling it a game would be insulting. You can't do anything in it besides having a 360p avatar and moving around to see expensive useless NFT collections, most of which are scams anyways. It is absolute sh*t.

I get what NFTs stand for and what the NFT bros on Twitter want to achieve, but honestly, all this stuff is total garbage. I would understand if these so called NFT games were actually enjoyable games. But for the sake of me, I cannot comprehend how anyone can play those "games" and enjoy doing it.

It's all based on hype and what they supposedly stand for. I am not going as far as to say that Decentraland and similars are pump and dump schemes, but they're quite close to it. If they would be normal games, getting one player would be an achievement, but nowadays as long as you call your garbage can "Metaverse/NFT/Decentralized game" it suddenly becomes the re invention of the wheel.

I love crypto and what it can bring to the world. 100% of my net worth is in crypto, that is how much I think it will grow in the future, but sometimes seeing ugly monkeys and horrible 3d 360p lagging games being called "the future" leads me more and more to become a hater rather than a supporter.

If we will ever see a nice looking game or NFT related project, I will be the first to invest, but for now, all these projects are just a hot pile of sh*t. At least in my personal opinion.

submitted by /u/StefansLair
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
