No-coiners spend several hours everyday thinking about something they hate, and it's
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>I just finished reading an absolutely fascinating article about an American actor who spends most of his free time criticizing cryptocurrencies. It made me realize how sad and unpleasant the life of crypto haters must be.</p> <p>Imagine that. Every morning, you sit in front of your computer, looking for reasons to be angry. You argue with strangers on Twitter, you read hundreds and hundreds of pages about the thing you hate, you read subs like this one... How sad is that?</p> <p>But that's not all. You have been predicting the collapse of the ecosystem for years, and yet not only is nothing collapsing, it is accelerating. Every day you see engineers leaving the web giants to join a crypto startup, a DAO, an alt-L1. The world's major banks are getting onboard, the president of the United States is stating his willingness to give the industry a legitimate framework, you see Coinbase's value reach the tens of billions of dollars... A revolution is underway, and you are standing on the sidelines.</p> <p>The signs that you're wrong are piling up, but you've gotten too deep into your thesis to back down, so you persevere. You go to sleep cursing crypto, you wake up cursing crypto, and you spend your day yelling at people who mostly ignore you.</p> <p>I am not saying that crypto is perfect, far from it. It deserves plenty of criticism, and of course there is fraud and bad actors. </p> <p>But I will never understand people who have built their personality around something they hate. I don't like superhero movies: do I spend my entire days haranguing Marvel fans? No, because I'm not like a no-coiner.</p> <p>Thanks for listening to my TedTalk, I'll now go back to staring at the charts.
