The ‘metaverse’ is a desperate attempt for Facebook to retain their influence in

A small, unelected, unaccountable, unconnected group of filthy rich executives are making decisions about how we use and feel about ‘new technology’ - Even the technology to create it doesn’t exist yet; Google glasses never took off for a reason - now Marc wants to make holographic augmented reality space? We are two decades out at least. </p> <p>Like working from home wasn’t shitty enough, now they want us to put glasses on and be forced back into an augmented office space? Yeah right! </p> <p>The truth is, <strong>Facebook is a failing company, less people are using it each year, and they are desperately trying to retain engagement</strong> - even going so far as advertising to children (which was scrapped, thank God) - so they changed their name and are pathetically trying to carve out and create a new market all while warpping our sense that it’s <em>necessary and inevitable</em>. ITS NOT. Billions of dollars are being thrown at this and no one really understands it!
