This means that more than 15 million coins have not been moved for at least six months.</p> <p>You can see the graph, made with Glassnode by James V. Straten, below, with Bitcoin's price in black and the percentage of circulating supply in the hands of long-term holders in blue. As the graph shows, over time, more and more Bitcoin are being HODLd and every new bull cycle a new peak is made.</p> <p><a href="https://preview.redd.it/a6nhkk3r7qka1.png?width=1800&amp;format=png&amp;auto=webp&amp;s=9a8c12e9925b66f64cfb87cef39948f127758b3f">https://preview.redd.it/a6nhkk3r7qka1.png?width=1800&amp;format=png&amp;auto=webp&amp;s=9a8c12e9925b66f64cfb87cef39948f127758b3f</a></p> <p>That so much of the supply resides with long-term holders is a great sign. Historically, a new peak of Bitcoin's circulating supply is made just before or during a significant rally. I highlighted these periods in red below. This happened in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020/2021. </p> <p><a href="https://preview.redd.it/8dwq8gg29qka1.png?width=1796&amp;format=png&amp;auto=webp&amp;s=91c9da89461309100cf25ab4b2ce1f7f02f0aa89">https://preview.redd.it/8dwq8gg29qka1.png?width=1796&amp;format=png&amp;auto=webp&amp;s=91c9da89461309100cf25ab4b2ce1f7f02f0aa89</a></p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Beyonderr"> /u/Beyonderr </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/11db6km/78_of_bitcoins_circulating_supply_is_in_the_hands/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/11db6km/78_of_bitcoins_circulating_supply_is_in_the_hands/">[comments]</a></span> </td></tr></table>
