If an asset is a “buy” then why does the order book have sellers?
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Who are the sellers? Market makers? People who don’t believe it’s a buy? Why should I believe something is a good buy if there are so many people selling?</p> <p>I’m guessing that the sellers comprise two main groups: 1) market makers and 2) people who have already had a sizeable return and are trying to cash out.</p> <p>Otherwise, I can’t imagine why there would be any sellers. Curious to hear all of your thoughts. Thanks!</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/mhk98"> /u/mhk98 </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/11dx8e4/if_an_asset_is_a_buy_then_why_does_the_order_book/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/11dx8e4/if_an_asset_is_a_buy_then_why_does_the_order_book/">[comments]</a></span>
