Gary Gensler is probably biggest villain in crypto space right now. Do you think cry

Gary once was teaching about crypto and blockchain, but after becoming head of SEC "he kinda forgot about it" ( yes GOT reference). Why would it matter if he get more power and money from his bosses (banks and politicians, cause let's not hide whose interests SEC as institution represent) by fighting crypto instead teaching about it.

But he went overboard in his anti crypto crusade, he doesn't even try to hide it, he attack one project after another when SEC still didn't win against Ripple. Basically his solution for winning one war is starting new one, and then another one. He want to fight on all fronts and it didn't end well for SEC. It was never popular institution to begin with, but now it is rediculed more than ever and no self respecting person believe their claims. Gary went ever so far he now declare everything he can a security even if countless experts using historical data and literally the law try explain him he is in the wrong. He even told emojis count as financial advice... How to treat shit like this seriously?

Now with SEC denying Congress access to FTX papers maybe something will change and politicians will finally understand that even they can't control Gary anymore, he do whatever he want and attack crypto not thinking about anything else. Hopefully he will be removed and on his place we would get someone without anti crypto obsession. SEC and especially Gary roamed with no supervison for to long. But hopefully his behavior won't be forgotten in historical books, cause he is one of main factors why crypto in US is not treated as good as it should be. People in few years will curse his name when they will realize how much harm he did.

submitted by /u/Nuewim
[link] [comments]
