Can someone explain how Bitcoin could possibly be a global currency?

Can someone answer these two questions for me please.</p> <ol> <li><p>Is it true that bitcoins fees will continue to increase as more people use it? I don’t think people will want to use a currency that charges high fees</p></li> <li><p>Why would people use a currency that takes 2 hours to send and receive?
