An update on that Pump and Dump group, a further illustration of why you WILL be bur

Morning everyone,

You may have seen my last post on this >>HERE<<

If not, time for a quick brush up, but the TL;DR is that P'n'D groups are specifically designed to part a fool with his cash, easily, and they overwhelmingly work for that purpose.

The coin in question (Neblio, NEBL) was announced and immediately rockets in price 100%, before dumping 400%, leaving a hell of a lot of bagholders. Of course, those that run the groups are steadily buying up the supply weeks before the run leaving them able to pre-set limit sell orders to dump their bags on the greedy casual members of the group.

After thousands of members of this group turned into unhappy bagholders instead of mini Jordan Belforts (me included) the Admins needed to restore public confidence. They blamed it on the fact that this pump was a public free for all, and that Bitcoin's price dumped slightly just before the NEBL buy, and this time would be better... Take a look:

Dear members, We received a lot of DM's from members that experienced lag and buy errors during the pump. Looking at the volume on Binance, it is quite understandable. During the pump many trades were made because BTC crashed with $2.000. This huge amount of traffic caused a lot of latency and outages on the whole platform. After closely looking into all the video's you send us, we spotted one recurring error. We will upload one of the video's in the next few minutes. Next pump, we will prepare better for potential problems (like these). Also, the market cap of the next coin will be a lot higher again. We underestimated the volume that came in. We will announce the date/time/exchange of next pump tomorrow. Chats will open in the next hour, we will upload results in the result section. The pump team.

So what happened next?

Did the Admins change their tactics, maybe do a private PnD only, maybe instruct members to pump for a week, let the general public keep buying after that, then dump on a certain date?

Fuck no!

Instead, they opted to buy up their next coin en masse, announce the date of the PnD and make sure their bags were thoroughly filled by that point!

EVX Was the chosen coin, with the evening GMT on January 9th being the public-released time of the pump

Look at the buying pressure in the days leading up to the pump. Then a short spike upwards and an absolute nose-dive back down. That short spike upwards at the tip is the efforts of thousands and thousands of PnD newbies throwing in hundreds of thousands of dollars. The nosedive back down are the co-ordinators of the group dumping millions of dollars of EVX back to Bitcoin.

Once again, the co-ordinators of these groups encourage you to market buy, so even though the price difference is between 40-50 cents, with the high recorded at $0.53, it's likely that some people market bought at nearly a dollar.

I reiterate my post from last week. If you are a co-ordinator of one of these groups, you get to make out like a bandit. If you are one of the rubes, the people at the bottom of the pyramid, you are going to get fucking decimated.

Stay away from Pump 'n' Dump groups, folks.

submitted by /u/TNGSystems
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
