BEWARE: Cook.Finance is 100% a scam. These are the simple reasons why.

People have been messaging me asking if this is still a scam or not. I dont know. I wish i could change the title but i can not. I personally still think there are a lot of questions that should be answered. I have still not been able to find any information on anyone else on the team besides the linkedin pages. Personally, i find that really odd. I would suggest that you do your own research. Check mine and vet it please! Call me out on shit I missed. Thats how research is done. I am personally trying to prove myself wrong right now.

EDIT#4: This kind of includes the one below. There is a single person on the team that i can find additional information on and its the person i listed in the #3 edit. There was an individual named Kun Peng who did attend WPI and did graduate in 2013. Further, there is an individual with the name Kun Peng who also attended Stanford. I have yet to find information on anyone else listed on the team. Here is what I found that:

WPI: http://studentnis.org/stl/?uni=wpi&pg=82

WPI: https://www.wpi.edu/news/2013-salisbury-prize

Stanford: https://stanfordesp.org/teach/teachers/elkun89/bio.html

EDIT#3: I have stumbled across an interview with the Strategy Lead so it is clear that at a minimum he is a real person and exists. I have messaged mods asking them to take 100% out of the title as I personally feel its misleading after my previous edit and should not have put it in the title. I also learned that not even mods can edit the title.

Link to vide interview: Girl Gone Crypto on Twitter: "I sat down with Kun Peng of @cook_finance to learn more about the interoperable asset management platform they are building on top of @VelasBlockchain. We also chat about their experience going through the @dao_duck incubator. Jump in! ?? https://t.co/DZskhhjNHx" / Twitter

EDIT: Talking with a friend of mine today he had me search his linkedin photo which i know has been up for years for him and it did not return his linkedin link. So in regards to the reverse image search IT IS NOT A VALID REASON as to why this might be a scam. I am moving these edits to the top because i feel like its fair that they are seen first given that i was initially 100% wrong about this. I still think the Cook.Finance team could come into this thread or the other one to address the other concerns and very easily defend themselves if it indeed real. Doing an AMA on youtube where everyone can see the entire team and match them to their linkedin profiles would be a sure fire easy way to at least address this concern

EDIT: very minimal edit. i noticed that a couple of the teams linkedin pictures return their profile link to linkedin. However, there are still a number that do not return anything. This does not change my view

Look into this yourself and then please go ask them about these issues in their telegram channel. Ask enough questions and you will get banned.

Earlier today i was told to purchase Cook.Finance, that is about to "take off" to the moon. I googled it and went to their website mainly to view the team. The entire team went to great schools and show great careers on linkedin. So i decided to google them to see if I could get any more information about them. You cant. They do not exist. After the second or third person bringing back nothing i decided to check and see if any of them had actually graduated from the University they claimed to have attended. None. Not a single person on this Cook.Finance team had graduated from the University on their linkedin profile page. I assume they never attended because again they do not exist.

The next thing to do was to reverse image search their linkedin profile to see what social media website it came from. Guess what? The reverse image search for every single team member returned nothing. It did not even return the linkedin profile picture i was searching. This almost certainly means the profiles were created recently and the crawler has not gotten to it yet. Either that or its a massive coincidence that not a single person on the team has had the crawler hit them over many years and every single one of them used a picture that has never existed before on a social media website.

Those first two things alone are pretty damning themselves but I wanted to see what people directly tied to this coin would say about that so i visited the telegram channel which is by far the most active "community" for this coin. I went in and told them that i had reverse searched the profile pictures and gotten zero hits and also that it appeared that not a single one of them had actually graduated from the university they had on their profiles.

I WAS BANNED.

They banned me for asking those two questions. Someone responded to me "let me check" and a couple minutes after that i was banned. I can post the screen shots of the questions as well the account no longer able to access the channel.

This coin is 100% a pump and dump scam.

submitted by /u/superkewlnamebro
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
