Gray Television plans to buy Doraville's Assembly, create film and entertainment hub

What's the purpose of doing this? When they bought out Raycom a few years back they bought their production assets with it and they haven't sold them. Is this a symbol of them trying to get into production? Are they angling away from traditional broadcasting because of its market decline? I don't exactly know how to understand this in light of where I think the company is going in the future.
