I just spent 4 hrs in 15 Alt Coin Sub-Reddits and here are the common things I found
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>After spending a considerable amount of time in many alt coin subreddits, here are the common themes preached across the board:</p> <ol> <li>Bitcoin is speculative garbage while the subreddit's coin has "real utility".</li> <li>POW > POS & POS > POW - Depends on the subreddit's coin.</li> <li>Atleast one post of someone going <em>all in</em> on the coin stating it to be the next best thing right after the internet.</li> <li>The team behind the subreddit's coin is the best team in all of crypto and they have the best funding, best track record, precise development schedule, bug fixes and frequent social engagement.</li> <li>The coin is the most undervalued project and deserves to be in the top 5, hell it should even surpass the marketcap of bitcoin, people are just waiting for mass market adoption!</li> <li>How the coin would bring financial freedom from evil central banks and would rebuild the financial system from scratch.</li> <li>Daily price prediction posts where OP states how early everyone is, like Bitcoin in 2009 early. To the moon!!! ????</li> <li>All the flaws in the coin are suppressed while the breakthroughs are celebrated: If OP even mentions any kind of concern, the post is downvoted to oblivion. On the other hand, any good news on the coin is reacted with, "Finally the sleeping giant is waking up!!"</li> <li>Fuck the whales, buy the dip!!!</li> <li>New people are asked to buy and hodl.</li> <li>FUD accounts present on the sub only talk negatively about the coin</li> </ol> <p>Let me know if I missed anything.
