Buying crypto is exciting - but please keep the amounts you accumulate private!
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Decided to make a post because I keep seeing this kind of thing in the sub at the moment.</p> <p><strong><em>"I just bought my first whole ETH"</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>"I just spent $10k on ADA"</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>"Thanks to the dip I nearly have a whole BTC"</em></strong></p> <p><strong>etc. etc.</strong></p> <p>For your own safety please do not publicly share the value of your portfolio or any assets within it.</p> <p>Look, I know it's exciting when you reach a personal milestone (e.g. 1ETH) but trust me, nobody in here cares about it as much as you do (apart from the folks who'd like to take it off you).</p> <p>There are scammers and thieves everywhere. Declaring that you might be a worthwhile target is foolish. It's a bit like wearing a fancy watch in a high crime area. You'll probably be fine, but you are a little bit more likely to be mugged at knifepoint. Why risk it?</p> <p>Stay safe out there folks.
