<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>I'm just learning about carbon credits, and from what I understand: the higher they are priced, the more incentive industries have to lower their emissions, or have negative emissions and sell their carbon credits.</p> <p>So what would happen if a whole bunch of people invested in them all at once? And what happens to businesses that rely on them, but can't afford them? Do they just pay higher taxes, or a fine?</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/ArgueLater"> /u/ArgueLater </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/pu1qot/can_a_mass_investment_in_carbon_credits_be_used/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/pu1qot/can_a_mass_investment_in_carbon_credits_be_used/">[comments]</a></span>Kind Regards R
