Scam? Probably.

Pretty sure this is a scam, but was just curious to see where the scam started.

So I got a discord message from a user named exciting. Seemed like a classic giveaway scam. " You WON 0.37 BTC " so I was like yeah right. But reading through I was like, what are they scamming me for? Info? Money? I didn't really see how. So I created a dummy account with a fake email on their site. Rivbit.com . It looks legit for the most part but cant find any other info on it, no social media or Reddit posts even mentioning it. So anyway I claim their code and voila .37 bitcoin balance as they said. So I try withdrawing it to a different wallet and, OH NO! My balance is frozen until I make a .02 BTC deposit (Roughly $185). Now I see where the scam was. So I do some extra research on crypto scams and there seem to be several others like this but the other ones made people do deposits for $1000 this one was only $185. But anyway definitely a scam and its not worth $185 to find out. So unless anyone here can say Rivbit.com is legit ,guess I wont be getting any BTC today lol. Stay safe out there everyone.

UPDATE:

So they had a ticketing system on their website so I sent one in calling it a scam this is their response.

"It's your business whether you believe it or not. I'm not forcing you to do anything we have an automated system that does not allow you to withdraw funds without a verification deposit of 0.02 btc. I'd love to let you withdraw without a deposit, but I can't do that. After the verification deposit of 0.02 btc, your account will be unfrozen"

Lol wasn't expecting a response, let alone one so quickly.

Pretty sure they deleted my account lol cant login anymore oh well

Kind Regards R
