How much startup cash required to become a successful VC Investor?

Venture capitalism is an entirely new concept to me, so currently I know very little about it. I've been trading stocks and crypto for over a decade, but that's the closest thing

Most of my life (my entire childhood × teenage years up u til I moved out at age 16) I grew up in borderline poverty. As a adult on the other hand, I am now making a very decent amount of money (so much so, that I even quit a job at one of the worlds biggest tech firms, I don't wanna name which but let's just say the gun who runs their company is definitely a lizard person. Despite that job being something many would consider a once in a lifetime security, I turned I down so that i could focus on freelance bug bounty hunting and 0day dev. Those roles, alongside crypto trading, made me a nice chunk of money.

I have lots of tech experience and a very keen eye for spotting new and upcoming trends in this field.

My main question here is, realistically, how much $$$ would I need to get started out as a VC investor?

I plan to mostly invest into tech startups. Anyone got a ballpark range as to how much money I should set to one side for this journey?

Also any other tips in general would be great!

submitted by /u/0x0MLT
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
