Proof-of-stake has a problem

The <strong>same validators</strong> are validating across multiple different networks - and it makes sense, after all, they can have dedicated hardware/marketing team/etc just to do that, and honestly, probably it is extremely profitable.</p> <p>And it creates one huge problem:</p> <p><strong>We became dependent of a few set of people/companies that are validating transactions across multiple blockchains</strong></p> <p>And why is that a problem ? Well, first off, it becomes more and more a system we need to trust. A secondly, it stops being **censorship resistant**. You see, if govs across the world just wanted to delete bitcoin or monero from existence, they couldn't. They would be able to tank the price, probably, but they wouldn't have that much of an effect, because it would be very hard to keep looking for miners across the world, if not impossible.</p> <p>But validators... it should be decentralized, but it is not. You can easily see where most of these people live and honestly, you can easily track basically all the validators of a network from their websites, specially governments. It becomes so much easier from governments to become able to interfere with the blockchain and, just like that, <strong>the censhorship resistance aspect of the blockchain technology no longer exists.</strong></p> <p>I know you wouldn't be able to just "delete" the blockchain by going after the validators.
