Your long term HODL & DCA strategy won't guarantee you success.

I ve seen alot of people suggesting HODL & DCA on alot of projects, especially on those whom they bought at ATH or close to it and now suffers from -60,70,80% price decrease. I've seen alot of posts that this is the best ever idea to make yourself rich on long term.

The idea is great and indeed in it's core is right but you are missing one thing. Almost all of the people will be shilling in their heads that they've made the right decision after they bought into certain projects, attatching to them and that they should be focusing on averaging down the price and buying more.

Please be very careful if your decision is to buy more on those attractive discounts. You may be losing more money in the process because, history shown that even strong projects with good fundamentals, let alone outside top 100, never reached their peaks ever again

Look for coins/tokens who stood the test of time and recovered all the time from a bearmarket, don't just blindy buy and HODL into a project thinking it will moon again the same way it did before. Crypto is a very dangerous space with more than 99% of useless projects.

You made profit? Rotate it into blue chips (BTC/ETH) and HODL those. Always DYOR, don't be a cultist and buy the hype surrounding certain coin just because people talk about it. Usually when people do that, it's late to buy in.

You did not make profit? HODL or sell at breakeven if not pleased, but dont invest more into it if you are uncertain of the projects future but just hoping one day it will moon. Most projects are either rugpulls, scams made by whales or great assets underachieveing.

The internet presents you only cases of success, rarely someone losing. I myself lost on a few projects being on forced HODL for years.

This posts purpose was strictly an educational one for newcommers. Hope it helps.

submitted by /u/HiddenknifeX
[link] [comments]Kind Regards R
