Coingecko seems a lot better than Coinmarketcap

Why does this happen? This is a smaller quibble, but on CMC the options mainly consist of NFTs and promotions for other projects (and are mostly limited in quantity and time available), whereas Coingecko offers e-books for furthering understanding of crypto, and discount codes for VPNs and news sites (you know, something more functional than a picture of a cartoon lion) - and they don't appear to be limited (correct me if I'm wrong).
