Coinbase is now being investigated by the SEC over staking programs. Another of thei

The SEC just launched a investigation into Coinbase staking programs. This is probably the hundredths of investigation by the SEC against Coinbase, whether they even have that many employees is questionable to overlook all that. It's also part of the SEC hardening it's stance that Cryptos are securities eventhough they still don't have any clear definition yet.

So is the SEC now gonna label all Proof-of-stake cryptos as securities? Actually no one can say whether they will do that and even they themselves don't know what security is as we have seen from the Ripple lawsuit where they constantly were changing their opinion on it.

submitted by /u/partymsl
[link] [comments]
