I have some questions and could use some help

My questions are:</p> <p>Is it smart or viable to invest small amounts each week/month?</p> <p>Are apps like coin base or Robin Hood safe to deposit and withdraw or trade through?</p> <p>It seems like I need to set up a wallet? I have no idea what is safe or the best way to approach that.</p> <p>Are alternate coins worth looking into other than say BTC or Ethereum?</p> <p>Im not expecting to see immediate results here. I also don’t plan on investing my entire savings. Just want to know where to start and cover all the basics before I get a little more involved.
