What was going through your head when you first bought into crypto?

What were you thinking when you first bought cryptocurrency?

My story in a nutshell:

I first got into crypto around late-Feb early-March, a couple weeks before the big crash occurred. Cryptocurrency has been something I have always been interested in, but I had never gotten into it before because I had assumed it would be too "complex" and "complicated" for someone like me, with no knowledge, to just start getting into in one day. But some time around late January, my friend had mentioned to me that a friend of his had possessed some cryptocurrency, and my interest instantly piqued. He couldn't remember what app his friend had used to buy it, but I was blown away by the fact that all you needed was some mobile app to get yourself crypto.

So I pushed him to ask his friend the name of it, and he is very forgetful so I didn't get the name of it until a few weeks later, he told me it was an app called "Coinbase". Of course I instantly went and installed it the second he told me, and I started checking it out. This was before I had joined this sub or done any legitimate research into exchanges, or crypto in general. I made my first purchase not long after that, $50 worth of BTC.

The $50 that started off an addiction. I'm not as consumed by the charts as I was when I first joined, and I have many of you here to thank for that. This sub has helped me more than any other sources on the internet could, and I would like to thank each and every one of you for that, yes even the downvoters and moon farmers.

Kind Regards R
