Robinhood isn't your friend but neither is coinbase

It’s bizarre. You already know banks aren’t your friend, you’ve accepted that. But everytime someone has trouble, gets locked out of an exchange the comments are filled with..</p> <p><em>“User error” “Never had a problem” “what do you expect? They run millions of accounts” "FUD" "They've been awesome for the 3 months I've used them"</em> </p> <p>I don’t know that exchanges were originally envisioned as a part of the process here, but I do know adaptation wasn’t ever going to happen on a large scale without them. That doesn’t mean you need to put them before your community. So notice the concerns piling up with various exchanges and use that information to make future decisions about where you house your holdings long term. The most popular exchanges start to <em>feel</em> the safest and that’s how we create monopolies. </p> <p>Remember that cold storage, when you’re experienced enough — is still an option to put yourself in control.
