What does one invest in if you're concerned about the government defaulting?

However, there are enough lunatics in the Senate that if someone takes some &quot;stand on principle&quot; they could force the United States into a state of default even for an hour. Would that matter? I truly don't know but it's just as likely to do nothing as cause absolute pandemonium.</p> <p>So if you want to hedge against a government default what would you invest in?
