Expecting the average person to understand crypto is completely unrealistic when the
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Title sums it up, people on this sub really need to give up on the idea that people can/should/will understand crypto (and don't even get me started on trying to explain defi to them as I'm sure most people on this sub would struggle to do so!)</p> <p>The average person still doesn't understand that they are losing money every year that inflation is above whatever pathetic amount of a raise that they received. They just see bigger number = more money and have no idea what purchasing power is. </p> <p>The average person still thinks that they should turn down a raise if it moves them into a higher tax bracket because they think they will pay more overall than they gain and don't realise that the higher tax bracket is only in effect for the money earnt ABOVE that threshold not all their money.</p> <p>Now this doesn't mean the average person cannot be involved with crypto just like they can use stocks, shares and the traditional financial system.
