Don't be like me. Make sure you keep a physical copy of your seed/recovery phrases!
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Me being an idiot thought I would be fine with having my recovery phrases stored on my phone's notes app and only there. </p> <p>I presumed my notes would be included in the Google backup so didn't think any more of it.</p> <p>Until I managed to lose my phone on Sunday, in the pissing wet rain we had for days here in the UK.</p> <p>My phone switched off (stopped ringing after an hour of me trying to find it) due to getting wet. At this point I started panicking as I realised I had fucked up. Looking into it, the shitty phone had its own notes app which I was using, that isn't included in the backup.... </p> <p>Most of my crypto is on exchanges, so recovery without my phone was fine. But I had a decent chunk on Defi wallets that without my phone/notes I was fucked.</p> <p>Luckily for me someone found my phone (right next to a bloody puddle) completely soaked and not working - and they handed it into the nearby visitor centre.
