Mildly Interesting: One Bitcoin can now purchase 10,000 pizzas.
<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>In May 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz famously made one of the first Bitcoin purchases when he <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/story/bitcoin-pizza-day-laszlo-hanyecz-spent-3-8-billion-on-pizzas-in-the-summer-of-2010-using-the-novel-crypto-11621714395">got a Papa John's pizza for 10,000 BTC</a> (apparently it was two pizzas, but let's stick to the legend).</p> <p>Currently, <a href="https://consumerqueen.com/saving-money-2/papa-johns-specials">with a coupon on "Consumer Queen,"</a> you can get a small 1-topping Papa John's Pizza for $4.</p> <p>This means that, if you had a LOT of those coupons and 1 BTC, at today's rounded price of $47,000 per coin, you could purchase well over 10,000 Papa John's pizzas. 11,750 to be exact.</p> <p>I was going to wait until Bitcoin crossed $80,000 since the pizza's I normally buy are $7.99, but obviously the moonshot hasn't come yet and I got impatient, haha.</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/EGarrett"> /u/EGarrett </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/tqdxji/mildly_interesting_one_bitcoin_can_now_purchase/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/tqdxji/mildly_interesting_one_bitcoin_can_now_purchase/">[comments]</a></span>Kind Regards R
