Some mining in the background like Folding@Home

But I wondered if I could use my PC for some mining at least.</p> <p>I know mining Bitcoin is not profitable anymore but I've read it's still an option for Altcoins. Which coins would be a good alternative? How much money could I generate out of it if I transfer it to Bitcoins later on?</p> <p>Just to clarify.
