My goal for 2023 is to earn 5% every week. How realistic is this?

So my goal is to deposit $4-6,000 every month (half biweekly), while earning 5% week over week on the market. Mainly through concentrated stocks and some option plays that take into consideration volatility (fast moves in directions I want) and theta (covered calls, diagonal puts). And to close fridays selling otm puts or buying deep itm calls to earn a few dollars here and there.

Example jan 9 near the peak of spy, I bought these. The rational being if spy were to move up, I would still profit handsomely, unless it did some bullshit like 5%+ in 2 days and kept going.

Short Jan 13 400p / Long jan 17 402p @ 1.70

Short Jan 13 398p / Long Jan 17 400p @ 167

Sold everything for about 1.91 and 1.85. After fees I was at 4.19% more or less.

Today Jan 10, I’m at 1.50% on affirm.

Goal is to earn about $200k this year by compounding the cash.

How realistic is this goal?

YTD so far I’m up 8%

submitted by /u/Henry1502inc
[link] [comments]
