It's not money you can afford to lose, it's money you can afford to not spend for 5+

The common adage is to not invest more than you're willing to lose, but with BTC, it's just being comfortable leaving money as BTC until it becomes profitable. You invest money you don't need in the immediate future.</p> <p>I actually view my USD to BTC conversions as permanent currency conversions. I will either hold BTC or spend it. I will never sell it for fiat.</p> <p>BTC is going to become an allocated percentage to an ever increasing number of investors. We can reasonably expect almost all long-term funds and retirement accounts to hold a few hundred basis points as BTC.</p> <p>I think everyone here realizes it. The risk of losing your initial investment in BTC, has gone down dramatically. We're all just waiting. Keep buying with fiat you don't need for the next 5+ years and you'll be fine.
