Shanghai upgrade successful on final Goerli testnet with minor issues

There were some initial <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/goerli-forked-shanghai-upgrade-executed-on-testnet-but-not-without-issues">minor delays due to inactive validators not upgrading</a>.</p> <p><a href="https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1635771385380499456">Core dev Tim Beiko noted</a> that this was likely either due to <a href="https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1635771385380499456">validators being lazy</a> and not monitoring their testnet clients because there's no monetary incentive, or because their clients hardware was slower. Neither of these issues is expected to happen on mainnet.</p> <p>Once enough of the validators updated their clients, the Shapella upgrade activated successfully as designed.</p> <p><a href="https://twitter.com/terencechain/status/1635793234046898177">Terence of Arbitrum noted</a>:</p> <blockquote> <p>15 epochs later, Goerli has finalized.</p> <p>There was nothing wrong with the Client software. We just had to get the offline operators to upgrade.
