$INTU (Intuit - TurboTax) is in trouble

This year, I used both ChatGPT and TurboTax to file my taxes and I compared the results.

ChatGPT was by far easier to use. A lot of times TurboTax is a black box that doesn't explain what it's doing well enough, whereas ChatGPT would give me really detailed information that satisfied my doubts and curiosity.

The final results were exactly the same. I don't have complex tax filings, so TurboTax might be better for those situations, or might not be (someone should test it out).

Maybe Intuit will start integrating ChatGPT to their products to provide a better experience, but then again if I'm able to file taxes completely without Intuit, why should I pay for it in the first place?

ChatGPT is like e-commerce disrupting traditional brick and mortar. Any bureaucratic task can now be automated away. I wouldn't be surprised if Intuit went bankrupt within the next 10 years.

submitted by /u/Unlucky_Problem1552
[link] [comments]
