What other currencies besides bitcoin should I look into?

I have $5000 laying around I want to invest into crypto. I don't plan on actually using it but just plan on holding it for several years, I've been looking at bitcoin since that looks like it till be going up in the next few years, but how about things like ethereum will those be doing the same? I know the basics about cryptocurrencies but not much more than that. Any advice on how you guys would spend $5000 for just profit?

Kind Regards R
