China's Government-Backed blockchain project wants to host your nodes

https://www.coindesk.com/chinas-blockchain-infrastructure-to-extend-global-reach-with-six-public-chains

Thoughts:

- The U.S. government better get with it. A good first step would be to back off the on the hostility side of things, and instead shift gears into how to support domestic blockchain companies. It would also be nice if U.S. citizens weren't banned from using most Blockchain DAPPs (along with North Korea and Iran). Doesn't stop DAPP usage, but few developers want to explicitly say that U.S. citizens are allowed to use their DAPP. This is largely due to saber rattling from the SEC, the Treasury Department, and the Whitehouse. Get with it folks.

- It seems a bit creepy to have your Ethereum validator node running on a Chinese government-controlled server. I would never do it, but no doubt others will, because they are offering their services at near zero cost relative to other options such as Amazon AWS.

- "One network, two systems" is eerily (and purposely) similar to "One country, two systems." And we know how that worked out. It is fundamentally unfair for the Chinese government to forbid its own citizens from using the blockchain system that they are so furiously building out for the rest of the world.

Kind Regards R
