sell at a loss or DCA down?

So I started investing during the covid money Era. I bought at the wrong time and since then it's done nothing but go down hill in my robinhood account. I've made some positive returns and sold them for profit but what is left is down a good ways. Overall I'm down about around 73% total. Nothing substantial. Only like -$3800 or so and I still have around $1500 left in value. I don't really need the money at the moment as this was almost all money given to me during the covid stimulus time. I'm just wondering if it's time to sell at a loss and reinvest this into stocks that pay out dividends or do I start adding to it again to DCA down over the future. I don't like the idea of losing 73% of the investment. But it would take awhile to recoup what's down right now and alot more money put into it to DCA back into a positive return. I used robinhood to buy crypto and growth stocks and use my Fidelity for stocks that pay dividends. In the 2 years or so I've been investing I've learned alot more than when I hastily started. But i still have more to learn and right now with the market being down overall I would think this would be a great time to start my DCA down. If i don't sell for years or even decades it wouldn't really bother me. I'm 38 now and don't mind holding onto them forever and eventually leaving whatever is left to my daughter.

What would you do?

submitted by /u/Dippty1
[link] [comments]
